For the second concert evening in July we managed to get the singer/songwriter duo Ami Warning and Matthew Austin on the Yearning stage in the attic. Ami, the daughter of reggae legend Wally Warning from Aruba, we knew from previous concerts as well as from her first two albums. Matthew Austin was also new to us, but the combination seemed promising and in this respect the anticipation for the two was already very high.
In any case, our expectations were met 100% – Ami and Matthew are like fire and ice, joie de vivre and heartbreak. Uptempo meets SloMo Blues, Aruba meets the Mississipi Delta (which is obviously close to Manchester after all). And once again it became clear, with how few sounds and means you can make really great music … if you know how to use the means.
ATTENTION: The city of Starnberg organizes from 31 July and 1 August at the Schlossberg three OpenAir concerts. (Original date was 24 – 26.7., but this was postponed!)
On Saturday 01.08. there is once again the opportunity to see Ami and Matthew in a small setting. We can only say: Go there, it’s worth it! More info about the Starnberg Summer Concerts can be found here.
And here again the hint: How do you find out about these events?
These concerts in our offices are not public events. However, you can allow us to add your email address to our mailing list and then we will be happy to notify you via email newsletter when another new date is scheduled. Seats are generally limited, in Corona times anyway, and we assign them as registrations are received. If all seats are filled, there may be a waiting list, or at least the consolation of being able to attend one of the future events. We do not charge admission, but we do have a donation box for the artists. We explain more details in our event newsletter.
So if you would also like to be notified by us in the future, please email us at hello@yearning.de.
